The doors are made of Red Oak and all the joints are mortise and tenon. The slats are all sitting in individual mortises that were cut using a shop made jig.

I built a door jamb to conceal her existing jamb, and make for a sleek finish.

I stained the doors prior to assembly to avoid a very difficult time trying to do the job after it was glued up.

The doors are stained with a gel stain and than sprayed with a semi-gloss polyurethane.
