My brother, Jess, and I cut the tiles in our wood shop, beveled the 4 edges, and pre-drilled for a screw in each corner before installation. The tiles are made from 1/2″ OSB that was sanded smooth on one face on a wide belt sander.

We installed the 2′x2′ tiles with the grain of the OSB on one tile running at 90 degree angles to it’s adjacent tiles.  We than finished them in place with a water based polyurethane for floors.   A matching wainscoting was applied to the walls using 4′x4′ panels.
